Hard on the heels of the successful launch of his TopStyle Tips blog, Nick Bradbury has started a FeedDemon Tips site. This new blog will be regularly updated with helpful tips and tricks for FeedDemon users. Authors include Nick himself and these FeedDemon power-users:
"a blog whose authors are all TopStyle power users. TopStyle Tips is devoted to providing helpful information to TopStyle users, including general web authoring tips and tricks. Entries will be posted by Nick and these TopStyle pros:
Additional authors will be added as the blog matures."
For some reason Nick has invited me to contribute. I have been using TopStyle since the early betas of version 1.0, but I certainly wouldn't place my knowledge and expertise on anything like the same level as those experts he mentions above. I haven't yet thought of what to write about, but hope inspiration will strike soon.
FeedDemon 1.10 RC2 is now available from the FeedDemon beta site. RC2 fixes a number of bugs, including several related to Atom newsfeeds. For complete details on what's new, check out the release notes. Remember that it will only work if you have already purchased FeedDemon.
Nick has also started a Web-based forum at Bradbury Software Forums. The forums are still being tested, and it's likely they will move to a new URL once they go live.
It looks like this loophole has been closed, alas. I received an e-mail today informing me that the download size of the file linked from the BBC site has now gone up to 9.75 MB and the file now contains spyware. I haven't downloaded it myself but it looks like what used to be called RealOne Player has now become RealPlayer 10.
